"Reiki" (pronounced "ray-key"), is the Japanese word for "Universal Life Energy." This energy is all around us and we can harness it once attuned to do so. An ancient healing art, Reiki is a simple method of hands on healing developed in the 1920’s by Mikao Usui of Kyoto, Japan. The system was passed, hand to hand, from Mikao Usui, to naval surgeon Dr. Chujiro Hayashi. Dr. Hayashi, in turn, passed the teachings down to a Japanese-American woman, Mrs. Hawayo Takata, who introduced the system to the West. The Reiki energy flows through the hands of the practitioner and into the person, animal or plant being treated, enhancing and accelerating the natural healing processes in the body. Reiki helps to restore balance and harmony and promotes the relaxation response. Anyone can easily learn Reiki,

An Intuitive Reading can bring clarity to a confusing situation in life.
A Reader (Melania Mersades) taps into your aura (when you allow me to) and helps you to work through any blocks you may have by communicating with your higher self. I can provide insight when you are not quite sure how to work through challenges either emotionally, creatively, spiritually or even mentally. I can not tell you anything about yourself that you don't already know. I can however, bring to light information that you have kept in the dark of you. The fun happens when I tell you things that you have not told anyone else.
A house blessing is a common ritual used when moving into a new dwelling or for the cleansing of a dwelling, such as after a divorce or traumatic event. The main function is to clean the house of all unwanted energy or beings, and to make it a sacred and personal space.
Some beings that may not be effected by a house blessings...
the Sidhe, sprites, pixies and the likes, will not be gone as they do not perceive themselves as malevolent.
They may perceive that the house is theirs, that they are not a guest, or they are not aware they have transitioned. In these cases a skilled medium can lead these spirits towards the light.
Sometimes there are powerful forces that mean to do harm. If you encounter one of these call in your most powerful contacts. Unless you are highly skilled you should not attempt to remove them yourself. F.Y.I- am not skilled in this ability. However, for these situations I use a special affirmation which may provide some and/or temporary protection and relief.
When choosing a Reiki practitioner, there are many questions to ask to help gauge their credibility quotient. A combination of gut feeling as well as gathering information is helpful. Here are some key questions to ask:
*Has the practitioner been formally trained to the level they practice and advertise? Or have them been absent in practicing and separate from the Reiki Community and are now trying to re-engage? While intentions may be well, some people really are trying to benefit from the financial success one can accomplish throught teaching Reiki. It is best during this financial crisis that you gage the history and intentions of a Teacher.
*Was their training in-person with a Reiki Master and did they receive the attunements in person... or did they simply read a book on Reiki and get internet training? (Internet training does not replace the onsite presence of a qualified Reiki Master)
*What clinical experience do they have? Have they offered Reiki treatments to people outside their family and friends (and pets, if applicable)? or is Reiki just something they dabble in?
*Do they practice Reiki regularly, as well as self-treatment every day?
Daily self-practice is the most important way that we develop our understanding of Reiki. Someone who recognizes Reiki as a healing practice (like meditation and yoga) and who actually practices daily self-treatment, will be able to support you with greater depth and confidence than someone who regards Reiki merely as a treatment for others, or for when she’s not feeling well. Why would you want to receive a treatment from a practitioner who doesn’t value Reiki enough to use it to protect and maintain her own health and well-being?
"Has the Teacher Taught a Reiki Class Before or apprenticed with a Master?"
It is best to learn from someone who has experience teaching others.
